I received a driving ban in 2001, which has now been removed from my driving license, however, will I still need to declare this on an application form or will it show on an enhanced CRB?

Thank you for your question . My name is Jo and I will try to help with this.

What were you banned for?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

I received a year ban, with no points, for driving the morning after with
excess alcohol.

Kind regards

Thank you.

If this is an offence of drink driving then it will show on your enhanced level CRB check. Everything shows on enhanced level checking including mere allegations. Its fair to say that some traffic offences do not but not drink driving.

There is a Bill before Parliament at the moment that will have the effect of removing most convictions after 11 years as long as they are not serious violence or sexual but that is not in force yet. It is expected later this year or early next. When it comes into force it should remove this from your record unless you have other offences.

As you know it is removed from your licence now under the 11 year rule followed by the DVLA.

Can I clarify anything for you?
