BT have advised me to contact you for advice on BTs "engineers"

Customer Question

BT have advised me to contact you for advice on BT's "engineers" - one of whom came to us at home here and "fixed" my PC, but regrettably did NOTHING to help solve the problem and then gave me a bill for £59.40p which I paid by credit card before he left. BT said that there is no way the engineer would have presented me with a b ill if he was a genuine BT engineer - it would have been added to my account - so, I have been told that I have been scammed.
Both my husband and I have each had strokes so mobility is an issue, and I am (in particular) very vunerable. The bill was, by the way, £59.40p which BT said was definitely not from them.
Please can you help?
Kind regards
