Customer Question

we are attempting to get out of a property rental lease and have a cancelation provision in the lease document if we give 60 days notice. In the early years of the lease this right was not available as there was a provision added that said we could not get out of the lease until a certain date. That date has long since expired and we have continued to renew the lease for 2 subsequent years. In the letter that accompanied the most recent renewal document there was a statement that said the Cessation Right - N/A but as this 1) was not part of the contract and as it did not also reference the specific termination clause we do not think this is valid. Thoughts?

Did you sign the new document, I assume you did? Did the old contract say it could be extended please?
