I've placed an order for package holiday scheduled on10/12/2013-20/12/201 on Holiday Gemswebsite on 14/09/2013 providing retailer with my HSBC credit card details.Booking Ref: S6886/67189. Total displayed package cost was £936.85 . On 16th of September I've received call from booking agent with question if I can flyfrom another airport. I said yes if she found any cheaper flight. As no cheaperflight has been confirmed, I've asked to leave my booking unchanged. On 19th of September I've received email from Holiday Gems with for attachments:Voucher for transfer, Accommodation voucher, Flight details with booking ref,and thank you letter for booking. On 20 of September another email saying allother required travel documents will be dispatched 7-10 prior to travel plus 6attachments: Thank you for your booking letter, Holiday Gems LTD Conditions forAgent Booking Services, Travel Itinerary , Booking confirmation, ATOL ReceiptFor total cost of Holiday £1,089.14 which was 16.26% higher my booking price& ATOL Certificate confirming that my money is protected by ATOLscheme. As I was monitoring flights and same package prices since mybooking and actually they never go up, naturally raised the question what isadditional price for. I been trying to resolve price rise by email [email protected] on 29th ofSeptember, filled in inquiry form on their website on 6th of Octoberand had no response. After made calls to customer services on 23 and 29th of October, but I was told my agent not in and no one can help, I asked toleave the massage to call my back, but my agent failed to do so. I noticed thatI was simply ignored. On 9th of November, over four weeks beforescheduled Holiday I posted with signed delivery Contract cancellation letter asmajor price increase by 16.26% breachesthe terms of my contract and have not been contacted with any contra argument, naturally I may think that my cancellation has been accepted. As no any contactsince then has not been made, I did not received any travel documents and norefund I would like to know if any action could be taken to get my money back.
