Customer Question

my son has just been found guilty of growing cannabis. the sentence was a fine plus forcing him to repay money which is said to be about £18000. the way this is being carried out is that they have cancelled his motor traders insurance so that he is now unable to carry on his business. isn't this an infringement of his human rights to be able to work/run a business to provide for himself and his family.

Thank you for your question. My name is Jo and I will try to help with this.

What has his motor trader insurance got to do with the conviction?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hi Jo

they seem to think that he has made a lot of money from growing. but he only tried once and was caught. the money he has bought cars with came from selling and repairing cars. so the court is saying that all the cars have been bought from drugs money and therefore are insured fraudulently

But how does that affect his motor trading insurance?
