A friend of ours said her daughter was having Twins, we had tiwns a year earlier and she was so kind

So we decided to give her daughter after she visited us a twin pram, cot and other kit worth new 2,000.00 used maybe half that. We saw scans and the twins had been given names, she even quoted weights and due dates etc.

two weeks ago they anouced that she had never been pregnant and had sold all the kit we donated

What can we do and has she broken the law

Sorry to hear about this.

It seems that fraud has been committed here, as fraud is an act of deception intended for personal gain or to cause loss to someone.

made a false representation
knowing that the representation was or might be untrue or misleading
with intent to make a gain for himself or another, to cause loss to another or to expose another to risk of loss.

You may report the matter the Police:

They may be arrested and charged for this.
