Hi there

wonder if you could help me ?

I have a credit card with barclaycard witch has gone to debt collectors.
But barclay card have decided to take the full £626 out my savings account without asking me! Is this wrong? What rights do I have?

I am really sorry but I cannot give you good news.

If you are in default on a credit card then they can draw funds from a current account or savings account that you have with the same bank. There will be a term in your contract allowing them to do so.

The way to avoid it is to set up a basic bank accounts with a banker from whom they have never had any contact. Then they cannot get access to your funds and you hold all the cards.
