-Could you explain your situation a little more?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

i have purchased a Solar panel system , and i am having difficulty with the company THAT PROVIDED IT , who are reluctant to inspect and stop vibration of panels in windy conditions. It is difficult to arrange asite inspection when the wind conditions cause the problem but i have a so called warranty for the work which runs out in april and the fixture of the panels is part of the warranty

Thank you.

Yes, warranties are usually given by third parties e.g. insurance companies to come into force when any guarantee has expired. Guarantees are normally given by the trader or manufacturer and are free but warranties are normally additional cost.

You also have statutopry rights which cannot be taken away even if the warranty/guarantee has expired.

e.g under the Sale of Goods Act (as amended).

In your case, you should make a claim under the warranty ASAP to try and get the problem sorted, otherwise you may still make a claim against the provider if it has not yet been 6 years since you purchased it.

Hope this helps
