customer received delivery of goods at end of nov and paid for it afterwards. At end of jan, they phoned to say they had not received some of the goods. Now they are saying they did not receive any when we know for a fact that the goods were delivered. the person took them on 26th nov and will swear in court this. problem we have is that we have not got a signed delivery note!. what can we do?

Thank you for your question and welcome my name is AJ and I will assist you.

When the customer received the goods did they call to acknowledge receipt of them?

Did the delivery company take a note of who accepted delivery? Do you have a driver or delivery man that could give a witness statement to confirm the goods were delivered?

The customer seems to be changing their story which to me has elements of potentially fraudulent behaviour. Personally I would call their bluff and say if they are saying the goods have not been delivered then you will have to consider reporting the matter to the police for investigation as it is evident the goods may have been stolen.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards
