Customer Question

Hello, I have recently has a small extension built and the builder is refusing to provide any completion paperwork, certification or guarantees. After me chasing them for about 6 weeks they have declared they have now ceased trading. Is it worth pursuing (obviously no point for guarantees)? The account was settled in full on the promise the documentation would be released. Thanks

I am afraid there is little point in pursuing if they have stopped trading. You should verify that they have indeed stopped trading and refer the matter to Trading Standards so that they are also aware of the problem with this builder.

All the best
