For a long time I have been in contact with a Ghanaian women

This answer was rated:

For a long time I have been in contact with a Ghanaian women single aged 32 ahd she would like to come to and see me in England with a view to possible marriage. Can you tell me please the rules on visas and so on so that the Home Office does not detect a scam or misuse of the rules.

Have you met this woman in person?

Thank you.

There are very many romance scams involving Ghanian women and the fact that you have never met her in person is concerning.

See these warnings from the US Government and others

And numerous other sites warning of these scams.

She may apply for a visitor visa to visit you in the UK, you may provide a letter confirming that you know her and will accommodate her but the fact that you have never met her may cause alarm bells to ring at the Home Office.

A marriage visit visa or a fiancée visa will be very very difficult to get due to the fact that you have never met her and there is a strong possibility that this could be a scam in view of all the warnings above and elsewhere.
She will need to show evidence that she has ties in Ghana e.g. Property, family, employment etc. for the visitor visa, otherwise she may be refused.
The visa process is set out here

Not for the moment. But may ask later for more advice. You have told me very much what I thought but an official confirmation is so much better.CP
