This answer was rated:

handed an ipad for repair at a store in tottenham court road, the repair did advise they might need to replace the screen, they have done so but the outcome was unsatisfactory, the unit seems to be damaged at several places and we are put off by it, it seems as if the repair person was learning or has no clue as caused damage
can you advise if i have any rights or claims here?

Thank you for your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will try to help with this.

In what way was it unsatisfactory?

The ipad seems like it has been abused all over and now rather than look like it has a fault on a specific point it seems like it has been played with all over, instead of having nice clean lines the frame is not straight and the screen also seems to be a bit loose, it seems like whoever repaired it is not a professional, they have replaced the screen but even the button does not seem right, if it was a second hand product i would have not purchased it for 50pounds...

Was any of that there before?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no, the ipad before had a fault and maybe a small chip on the side, it now looks like complete being messed up with all over, its like fixing a dent in the card with many little smaller dents

im not claiming my product was new before, it was say 65% - 70% from new before compare to 25%-35% now

If more damage was done whilst in their care then you do have a claim against them. There is no doubt about that.

You do also have a claim if they failed to repair whatever it is that you paid to have repaired.

If you complain to them then they may well offer you something as they will not want to go to court over this.

If that fails then you can sue them here

but its very unlikely to come to that.

Can I clarify anything for you?
