I went on a package holiday and ordered a peanut restricted

This answer was rated:

I went on a package holiday and ordered a peanut restricted meal due to an allergy and on flight home they supplied a meal that said may contain nuts and a dessert that did and for breakfast all I got was a stal roll and a sachet of sauce for eight hour flight! As this was part of the contract am I entitled to any compensation as this could have made me very ill!

I've been working hard to find a Professional to assist you with your question, but sometimes finding the right Professional can take a little longer than expected.

I wonder whether you're ok with continuing to wait for an answer. If you are, please let me know and I will continue my search. If not, feel free to let me know and I will cancel this question for you.

Thank you!

Thank you for your patience,
Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this. Please note that I am a working Solicitor and may be on and offline as I have to attend Court and meet with clients, even at weekends. As such you may not get an instant response when you reply, but rest assured I will be giving your question my immediate attention upon return You do not need to wait here as you will get an email when I reply.

You say could have made you ill, but it did not.

How much are you seeking?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I was not ill but the fact is i could have although i had a stomach upset so not sure if i could put this down to them they have just stated nothing was serious!

For breakfast all i was offered was a stale roll and ketchup no butter etc

In total i was upset at what happened and i also asked for a return of a $ 106 that i was also overcharged for luggage!

In total the trip flight was a disaster the plane lost all its water so we had no hot drinks or hand washing facilities and then they messed up on my meal.

In all i wanted a refund of the overcharge and an apology but am getting little back

I would have been happy with the $ 108 refund and an apology is that too much too ask for?
You need to write and set out your losses and request a refund within 14 days or say you will go to Court within 14 days. You should make sure you send this signed delivery and keep a copy.

If they do not refund you then you can issue proceedings in the County Court. You can either do this online at: or by completing form N1 and take it to your local County Court.

The Court will then issue a claim which a copy will be sent to the Defendant who will have a limited time to defend it, if not you can enter Judgment and enforce.

If the matter is defended it will be set down for a trial. If the claim is for £10,000 or less it will be a small claim and you will not need representation.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
