I was on a debt management plan for about 5-6 years, the company

This answer was rated:

I was on a debt management plan for about 5-6 years, the company in charge has been declared bankrupt and all the money is lost.
Is there anyway I can get my money back or at least get the creditors paid for my £200/month contribution?
Did you appoint the debt management company or did your creditors appoint the company?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I chose that debt management company.

Thank you.

I am afraid as you chose the company, you are responsible for your losses.
It is up to you to try and get your money back from the company.

You should discuss the situation with your creditors to see if they are sympathetic with you and willing to enter into some sort of repayment plan with them, otherwise you are looking at an IVA or bankruptcy as you say.

May I help further?

How can i get the money back from the company?

You need to register yourself as a creditor by lodging a proof of debt form.
