Hi,I have an ongoing problem

Customer Question

Hi, I have an ongoing problem with next door neighbour. Over the past 2 years this man has: stolen oil from central heating tank Verbally abused me and threatened to kill me and my daughter Tampered with my car (holes in brake pipe, door lock barrels broken, petrol pipe disconnected under bonnet X3) no proof of this only suspicions. Torn branches off my trees and thrown them onto my lawn. Prevented me from entering my house by making violent gestures towards me. House is shared ownership, neighbour comes under same housing assoc as me. I have been unable to live in property since October because of this and am now living in flat provided by employer. Latest incident 15/8/2014: returned to property after holiday abroad. Was unable to gain access to property because an attempt had been made to force front door with considerable force and locks are jammed. House is now on the market and sold subject to contract but am very concerned this will cause buyer to pull out. All incidents reported to police; they have spoken to this man but he just denies it, says I am mad and accuses me of anti social behaviour. Police say not sufficient evidence to investigate latest incident. Have repeatedly made complaints to housing assoc, who seem to believe neighbour's account over mine even though he is unemployed due to mental illness; I am teacher at prestigious boarding school. These events have seriously affected my health. After considering Friday's incident I am now terrified of even going to property, but I will have to return tomorrow for appointment with locksmith, also I need to pack up belongings and furniture, which are still in property - some antiques etc., which I am very concerned will be destroyed if neighbour breaks in. I feel nobody is protecting me against this individual, who obviously is mentally ill, with violent tendencies. Raised Community Trigger earlier this year but was told no action can be taken. Very worried about personal safety now, bearing in mind death threat and amount of force used to attempt to enter property; I believe if I had been there at the time consequences could have been very serious. Please advise. xxxxxx xxxxxx
