My mother who was a widow died without making a will. That was 14 years ago. There were five children. We (the children ) decided to leave the estate in my mothers name as one of my sisters was mentally unwell and living in the family home.We did not want to uproot her ect.My sister has since died without making a will. What will happen her share of the estate. Does her share remain in my mothers estate or is her share divided among her siblings
Thank you for your question.
Assuming your sister had no children, her share of your mother's estate is divided between the remaining siblings.
