Having not had a detailed account for some time we, repeatedly

This answer was rated:

Having not had a detailed account for some time we, repeatedly over approximately 12 months, requested an account for routine legal support, about Wills, Trusts etc. The result was an invoice covering the year 2000 to date, but itemised only for the last 18 months. I have receipts for fees paid to 2005. How many years retrospectively, can the solicitor charge for? is there a time limit, similar to income tax time limit, such a six years? If not should he provide a fully itemised account relating to meetings, correspondence and any background work on family trusts etc to justify the costs?
