Hi my mobility scooter was stolen, and the insurance has paid

Hi my mobility scooter was stolen, and the insurance has paid up and I have a new one know, my old scooter has just been recovered in a damaged condition and returned by the police, the Insurance have asked me to pay back the amount they paid out, is this right our is it up to them to collect it, it no good in current condition and I have a new one now

Thanks Alex, the only remaining question is, I take it the recovered scooter belong's to the Insurance company, which the damage state it was return in they are welcome to it, its in the way now how long do I have to wait before for them to collect it before disposing of it

Yes you can give them 28 days to collect it and then dispose of it.
