A kitchen fitter started work on bespoke granite worktops before

Customer Question

A kitchen fitter started work on bespoke granite worktops before giving me a written contract with all details as required by Consumer Rights legislation. Nor has he given me a contract. Despite this he claims that I have no cancellation rights because of the new legislation regarding bespoke goods which took effect around 8 June 2014. My view is that no contract exists so I am responsible for nothing. Your thoughts?

Hi, Thank you for your question and welcome. My name is ***** ***** I will assist you. Did you agree a price over email? Did you pay a deposit? Has the fitter actually purchased the granite? Kind regards AJ
