As the exeutrix to the will of a friend, do I have to let another

This answer was rated:

As the exeutrix to the will of a friend, do I have to let another beneficiary into the property owned by the person when I had express instruction from him not to let her into his house?

Hello and thanks for using Just Answer.

My name is ***** ***** am happy to assist you with your enquiry.

Could you clarify what the beneficiary stands to inherit from the Estate?

Is there any particular reason she is asking to be let in the house?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

She will receive half of what is left after the 2 main beneficiaries and all expenses have been taken out of the "pot"

Thanks Karren.

Well, unless the beneficiary is to inherit the property, which she is not, she has no legal right to request entry into the property, full stop.

As Executrix, it is your responsibility and yours alone to "look after" the Estate and only you ar epermitted access to the property.

I hope this assists you and sets out the legal position.

Kind Regards
