Hello I am a solicitor with 20 years experience. I will try to help you with this.

Can you tell me a bit more please. If you return to the police station and the police are not ready to charge you, then very often a suspected person is released on police bail to another date, eg if further investigation is required or the CPS have advised the police to do some extra work before making a decision on whether to charge.
