Hi, I filed a claim in the small claims court last month.

Customer Question

I filed a claim in the small claims court last month. The defendant's deadline to answer was the 6th of December. He filed an acknowledgement of service the 8th of December stating he intended to defend the whole claim.
Given that he answered 2 days late, can I request judgement? is his answer valid? what are my options?

No you can't because he has filed his acknowledgement of service, albeit late.

Even though it is served late it is valid.
