Thank you. There is some case law about having two planning applications running at the same time. A farmer won permission to build a few houses on land and subsequently applied to build more houses but in in the same field. Both apps were presented as being on an empty field. In effect he sought to break up his masterplan to avoid the appearance of over development. It went to the high court and was thrown out. The effect is that any grant of planning application automatically cancels any previously granted application for the same site if not referenced in the second one.
Unfortunately I do not have much more information to go on other than it is a very famous planning law case.
