HiSome years ago I was denied the right, as a defendant,

Customer Question

Some years ago I was denied the right, as a defendant, to have a case heard in my local county court. This meant I was unable to attend and, therefore, to defend the action properly. Was this decision, made by the claimant's local court, legal? If not am I too late to either appeal, or to make some form of complaint against the court?
Thank you

Thank you question. My name is ***** ***** I will try to help with this.
Why were you denied the transfer?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I was not given a reason, simply that the court denied my application to have it moved.

|Are you an individual or a company?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I am a director of a limited company. The company was the defendant in the case

Ok. That is why your application was refund.
Corporate defendants do not have a right to have the matter heard at their local court. In fact, neither do individuals. It is just a practice of the court that individual defendant they will make that concession. You are not in that position.
Therefore, I'm afraid they were free to do that and so there is no appeal on that basis.
I'm very sorry but I can only give you truthful information.
Can I clarify anything ?
