I purchased an EPC certificate from my selling agent.
I have recieved a copy of the certificate and a reciept for the purchase from the agent.
The company who were contracted by the agent to supply the certificate have written to me saying they have not been paid by the agent and they will cancel my certificate unless i pay them for it.
Does the EPC certificate provider have the right to take away the certificate that i have purchased from the agent.

Hello and thanks for using Just Answer.

My name is ***** ***** am happy to assist you with your enquiry.

If you are willing to provide me with your address, or at least your postcode anf house number, I can check if the EPC has been formally registered?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards

Dear Al

The property is a small industrial unit I am selling (retiring).the address is

Unit 9 Tudor Enterprise Park

Tudor Road

Kind regards

Hi Henry,

Thanks for your reply.

I am afraid your EPC has not been registered, so it appears the provider is holding back until he has been paid. I can only therefore suggest that you speak to the Agents as a matter of urgency.

As it appears the Agents instructed the Company, there is no legally binding agreement between you and the Company. However, you have an agreement with the Agents and you therefore need to pursue them.

I set out a link to the non domestic EPC Register- there are some EPC's for some of the other Units, but not Number 9.

I hope this helps.

If so, I would be grateful if you could rate my answer.

Kind Regards
