Customer Question

I had an advert from an internet company advertising various options for broadband and calls, cleary stating 28day contracts. I applied and started with them, but it is not very good so I went to change to BT.. They rang me up and said they had had a letter fromBT and it would cost 18 mths contract fees to leave them. Upon looking at the agreement it did say 18 months. I took it out on the assumption it was 28days as advertised. Where do I stand?
