I have issued a small claim against a person using the money

This answer was rated:

I have issued a small claim against a person using the money claim online service. The money claim service now tells me that a bar has been put in place. Can you tell me what this means?
Hi thanks for your question.
Is that all it says? How far along in the process are you? Obviously you have issued the claim. Has the time limit for the Defendant to reply passed?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

In the claim history there are 3 sentences.

The first is the date the claim was issued. That was 2/2/15

The second states:

A bar was put in place for the defendant on 26/2/15

The third states;

The defendant filed a defence on 26/2/15

That is the total timeline for the claim.

Thank you. Essentially all this "bar" means is that you cannot apply for Judgment in Default against the defendant as they have filed a defence.
You will receive a copy of the defence and once you have read this you will have to decide if you accept their position or you wish to proceed.
I hope this helps.
