I would like some advise please as I have received a letter

Customer Question

I would like some advise please as I have received a letter to attend court on the charges of occasioning actual bodily harm ! In September myself my friend and my sister were arrested and taken to the police station where we were then de-arrested and sat in a public waiting area together for over an hour then we're taken one by one to answer some questions this was all recorded and asked what had happened the night in May where we had had a scuffle at a friends house with her now ex partner where he claims I hit him in the face with a shoe and caused a cut on his eyebrow ! I was wearing jewellery and had my shoes in my hand so it is possible that he was caught by either but I did not intentionally hit him so we are now having to go to magistrates court on the 2nd April this year on these charges we are unsure on the process and what would be be the best thing to do as I have said I am not guilty for hitting him a shoe any advise and help on what to do would be greatly received thank you hard working mum of three amie .

Hi I would like to know what to expect in court and I am not planning on taking a solicitor I'm just going to say what had happened and that he may of got his injury from me but I did not hit him with my shoe I have never been in trouble before and I I work part time and am a mother of three and a wife I think I may be worrying a bit to much about this but I am not used to this situation do you think I would be charged ?
