we purchased 2 weeks timeshare at Oasis Lanz back in 1996

Hi we purchased 2 weeks timeshare at Oasis Lanz back in 1996 and we asked for the 'escritura' so we could sale it but never received it. So we stopped paying the maintenance fees and have now been contacted by Daniel Silverman for 14 years of back payment coming to €8990. Where do I stand legally and I'm I right in thinking that they can only pursue a debt of up to 6years? Thank you Simon

Yes they can only claim the last 6 years under the Limitation Act 1980

Customer: Apparently the Timeshare council have said to another client of just answer that Promiber the company whom originally sold the timeshare, did so fraudulently because they didn't apply for any escritura but keep the money for themselves. Also we were never told about any cooling off period, would we have any case against mis-selling and get our money back?

If there was fraud then that unravels all and you could claim your money back.
