Thank you for your question.
My name is ***** ***** I will do my best to help you
Your grandson need sto arrange a first appointment with Mediation
If his ex does not attend then he can make an immediate application to the court for a Child Arrangement Order setting out the time the child spends with your grandson.
The Court fees will be £215.
I hope that this is of assistance - please ask if you need further details

hi my grandson is unemployed, is there any financial help available to him to help resolve his situation?
Sadly Legal Aid is no longer available for these cases.

hi I'm disappointed with the information provided I was expecting some suggestions on a way forward but thank you anyway
I am sorry that you are disappointed,
Your grandson's way forward is simple and straightforward.
He finds a local Family mediator and make an appointment for a mediation information and assessment meeting.
he will receive Legal Aid for that.
If his ex will attend mediation then great an agreement might be reached.
If not the mediator will give him the necessary form to make the Court Application
he is entitled to fee remission for the fee.
His ex will then have to come to court and since the law says that a child is entitled to contact with both parents some form of contact will be ordered.
