I was arrested last night driving in Derby,

This answer was rated:

Hello, i was arrested last night for drink driving in Derby, England. i blew 89 at the police station and have a court appearance on the 13th of next month. i don't know what to do. I have never been in trouble with the police before and don't know how to approach this. Any help or information you could give me would be greatly appreciated!
Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.
I assume you accept the offence? The sentencing band you fall into is 60-89 in breath and you would get a find and be disqualified for between 17 and 22 months. This would be reduced if you do the drink driving course by 25%.
Other than that, you could get representation at Court, but that is the sentence you are facing.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

I do accept the offence. Do i just ask for representation when i get to the court house? never had to do anything like this before?

Yes you can do that. Or instruct a Solicitor in advance for the day.

Right, I'm pretty sure that i will be sacked from my job for this but was planning on going self employed in the near future anyway, would it look better to the courts if i was still employed by the company i work for now or will it not make any difference?

It wont make any difference sadly. A ban is mandatory.

would i be better off getting a lawyer or just taking the free court help, will this make any difference?

At Court you should be ok. It will be a fine and disqualification, no risk of custody.
