If I committed an act of sabotage against my employers network

This answer was rated:

If I committed an act of sabotage against my employers network what is the worst punishment I could expect to receive.
Thank you for your question. My name is ***** ***** I will try to help with this.
-Could you explain your situation a little more?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I have just been made redundant at work and if I wanted my vengeance by sabotaging their network what criminal laws would I be breaking. I have done nothing as yet.

It depends what you do exactly but almost certainly there would be offences that apply.
One that I can think of immediately is the computer misuse act. That only requires you to make a computer perform an unauthorised action.
There are also a large number of offences under the Communication Act 2003.
Potentially a criminal damage depending on whether you cause damage to actual property.
It is quite unlikely that there wouldn't be something that covered any action that you propose to take.
If you tell me exactly what you are thinking of I might be able to offer more.
Can I clarify anything for you?
