hello. I put a deposit on a brand new car ( 13/03/15 ) delivery date would be 27/05/15
I was offered £29,000 as a trade in price on my present vehicle. I have now been informed that the delivery will not be till 01/09/15. are the company legally bound to still keep the trade in price. thanking you Frank Riding

Then yes, subject to you not having any accidents or anything then they must honour the trade in price. This is because it is not your fault regarding the delay, it is theirs. So they can not go back on their word, their contract and change the trade in value.
It forms part of the order and therefore the contract.
