If there is no Will after the death of my mother and I do not

This answer was rated:

If there is no Will after the death of my mother and I do not have access to her account
does the bank keep her money.
Thank you for your question.
No the bank does not keep her money. You see a solicitor and have an administrator appointed to wind up her estate and the money is distributed according to the law of intestate succession, ie, the law where someone hasn't made a will. The estate goes to the immediate family.
