Hi There, after i got married my partner asked me to sign a declaration of trust relating to his property, i found all weird but i love and trust him, didn't even read it properly and trusted him and signed it. But few events happened and is making me doubt few aspects of the relationship. So i would like to know what this declaration means.. it says "The first owner (him) declares that he holds the Property on trust for himself and the second owner (me) as tenants in common in equal shares. He told me that it means that the flat belongs to both of us equally, which i don't care but would like to know if it is the case or he was being deshonest and deceiving me?

Thank you for your question.

On this occasion at least he is telling you the truth - the document does indeed state that you won half of the property.
