My sons rented house is going to be sold at auction as his Lanlord is in prison for embezzling the money to purchase it from the local health authority.
He has lived there for nearly five years
Does he have a right to make an offer to purchase prior to auction?

Hello and thanks for using Just Answer.

My name is ***** ***** am happy to assist you with your enquiry.

Any party is free to make an offer either prior the Auction or at the Auction itself, if the Auctioneers are not prepared to agree a Sale before the Auction.

In cases like these, please note that the Crown will want the property to go to Auction, so it fetches the best possible price.

I hope this assists, but please let me know if you require any further clarification.

Kind Regards
