Donated Goods

Customer Question

Hello, We had an item donated to our organisation (A vehicle) 4 years ago. The person who donated it is now leaving our organisation and is wanting to sell it and keep the proceeds etc. The same person also donated a smaller item to an individual 7 years ago and is now going to sell this also. It has been known generally by many that this item was given to the individual concerned. In respect of the vehicle, there is a paper trail and it has been on the asset list of the organisation since it was donated. In respect of the smaller item, this was done on trust - there is no paperwork. I think we are home and dry with the vehicle as it can be proved, but what if anything can be done with the 'individual' case? Thanks,
