Can a repossesion hearing be stopped if payments are brought

This answer was rated:

can a repossesion hearing be stopped if payments are brought up to date prior to the hearing
Is this a mortgage or rental repossession?

And what stage of the proceedings has the case reached?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

It has a proceedings date set for 20th August at Birkenhead County Court, however the claimants solicitors have stated that we can offer proposals to repay the arrears. I would be able to fully repay the arrears before the hearing date. Will this stop the claim?

In short if you pay the arrears in full, the claimant may decide to discontinue the proceedings. If the arrears are cleared in full the Court is unlikely to make a possession order. So, paying the arrears in full before the hearing would certainly be very advantageous.
