Hi-Is it advisable to use a company to recover PPI or extra money paid for special bank account benefits. It's no win no fee but they would take 33% on winning or how do I go about doing the job myself and how do i go about it ?

Hello, my name is***** am a solicitor on this site and it is my pleasure to assist you with your question today. Do you know for certain that you pod for PPI and are due compensation?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I'm not sure if I am due compensation but the companies enquired to said they would find out for me.In the small print it says no win no fee.

You do not have to use any companies to pursue potential PPI compensation. Many have cropped up in the last few years due t the boom in claims and there have been a lot of problems with some as they have been engaged to pursue the compensation, the bank states none is due r the customer cancels before a decision is made and then eventually they get it, but the company then claims it was the that did the work for the pay out and then try and claim the fees anyway. Also when they say that you are likely due some compensation they cannot guarantee that and often work on the assumption that if they can see you had a product that may have attracted PPI, they would say you are due a potential pay out, which in fairness is a complete stab in the dark on their part. So my advice is if you are prepared to make a few phone calls, write few letters or complete a few forms – do it yourself as you can so everything they are offering yourself and save the fees. There are many guides on how to go about it, for example: I trust this has answered your query. I would be grateful if you could please take a second to leave a positive rating (selecting 3, 4 or 5 starts at the top of the page).
