If my commercial landlord puts my leased property up

This answer was rated:

If my commercial landlord puts my leased property up for sale can I terminate the lease?
Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you.
Are you tied in for a fixed term please?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
It's a 25 year lease with 8 years left
Ok. You cant terminate the lease unless the lease allows you to do so if this happens. If the property is sold then the lease should be assigned and you will have a new Landlord for the 8 years, but that should not make a difference as the lease contains all the terms and conditions.
If the lease is terminate when sold then you can sue the Landlord (your old one) for breach of contract. But sadly you can't terminate unless the lease allows you to do so.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
