Yesterday morning I signed a "sole agency agreement"

Customer Question

Hello, yesterday morning I signed a "sole agency agreement" with an Estate Agent to sell my house. I signed all the paperwork without reading the Terms & Conditions. Last night having read them I realised I had made a big mistake. Under the cooling off section of 14 days there is a section that reads "the agent will delay marketing for 14days from the date of the agreement unless you express consent to commence our services immediately or at the earliest possible opportunity by signing below the box section" As I didn't read the contract a cross was put in that box for me to sign which I duly did. I just presumed I was signing the contract to get things in motion and was not aware I had no choice to change my mind. I have today posted a letter through their door and emailed to express my concern and have told them I wish to cancel the contract. They are closed today otherwise I would have gone to see them. I've changed my mind within 24 hours. My question is "as he didn't tell me I had no righto cancel am I still now legally bound by this agreement. Regards ***** *****hurst
