Customer Question

I did some work as an Avon Rep for about a year and from my last order i was called by a customer service rep to ask if i wanted to add other products costing £25 per set to my order.. I agreed to the 2 different sets and waitined for my delivery, on arrival i had a total of 8 boxes arrive to my door (Complete over order) but never the less arranged for it all to be returned..
I was all collected apart from about £50 worth of items which i kept for myself, this was a common thing that i would do as i have a full time job and mainly ordered bits for myself and immidiate family never to others in my area.
One day i just went onto my account and was shicked to find that they said i was owing just under £500!!! for months i have been trying to appeal this and they have not been replying to my complaints, returning any of my calls or even acknowledging my dispute.
It is now seriously affecting my credit scoring and i really do need to get this sorted ad want to take this further, i have spoke to the financial ombudsman who say that as i was a rep it in affect it comes under employment rather than a consumer issue, but please can you help to direct me on how i can get this resolved.
I have all the returns books for every item i have ever sent back and they have on a number of occasions had copies of this sent to them as proof the products have been collected from my home.
Please please help me

I would like Avon to correct this debt they are saying I owe and for them to rectify my credit file as I have returned all the goods.. They have completely ignored me and all my correspondences
They have also cost me a lot of my personal time which was taken up over days to try and sort this issue out myself being pushed from pillar to post and getting no resolution.

You need to write and ask them to remove the information within 14 days or say you will go to Court.
If they refuse then you can issue proceedings. The Data Protection Act states:
14 Rectification, blocking, erasure and destruction.
(1)If a court is satisfied on the application of a data subject that personal data of which the applicant is the subject are inaccurate, the court may order the data controller to rectify, block, erase or destroy those data and any other personal data in respect of which he is the data controller and which contain an expression of opinion which appears to the court to be based on the inaccurate data.
You need to complete form N208:
The Court will list the matter for hearing and decide whether to Order them to correct the information. If the court does then Equifax, Call Credit and Experian will change their records.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

Is there a letter template I can use to send to them and where do I send it to as they are not responding to me?
Expert:  Ash replied 2 years ago.
You send it to their head office. No template but you just set out your position
