If I have an overdraft which I have agreed repayment terms

If I have an overdraft which I have agreed repayment terms with a debt agency with and a savings account that has a credit balance (my family allowance was being paid into it) can I access my savings account money

1. Yes, you can access your savings account money. There is no rule of law or practice which prevents you accessing your savings account just because you have entered into an instalment arrangement with a debt agency in relation to an overdraft. The two accounts are separate in law. Otherwise you would have difficulty living and paying bills as they fall due. So go ahead and access your savings account today.
