Insurance Coy.Will.not pay for a new Washing machine despite being told I could not wait 8days for their Engineer,Carer with a daily wash, Dementia wife.Policy says two days.Told on 7th that I would have to buy a new one in view of need.Did so on the 18th***@******.***

The simplest solution would be to use a local laundry service and bill the cost to the insurance coy. until their engineer visits you.

Problem not resolved by your answer. I am housebound cannot travel to a laundry 10 miles away, even weekly.The machine failed on the 7th Nov. The first date for repair provided was the 14th.Told them on the 8th not satisfactory ,their policy
says 2 day.terms. Weeks's notice given that I was buying from a recognised dealer. Did so with receipt and Engineer's findings. Only returned the unused portion of my annual premium. Hope that sufficient

If you cannot help, please say so. No neighbour is prepared to take in soiled washing on a daily basis without knowing for how long .My wife has acute diarrhoea and incontinence. Still waiting for our call to explain your understanding problem. THE INSUR COY. ARE NOT PREPARED TO PAY ANYTHING!!
