I have purchased Pet food in bulk, it comes in large unbranded

Customer Question

I have purchased Pet food in bulk, it comes in large unbranded ziplock bags with nutritional info and sell by date.
Can I re package this food and put my own brand name on the packaging. I'm unsure of the original source of the food, and i only know the supplier, who said I can re package it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

This was the message from supplier about te packaging and re branding...
There is no problem to sell these products in your shop.we can provide you food in large original packs of 1kg, and all you do on your own.
The original food contains, expiration date, batch number, composition, etc.,or we can prepare products according to your guidelines with the name and weight of the product label and expiration date.
We can not provide you food as "refill pack" and stick your label.
That does not mean that you can not do it alone. We have over 50 food of this type in various sizes, which you can easily sell in your store.
Natural foods, dried, flakes, granules and foods for pond fish.If you have any further questions, I offer my help.Kind regards,

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you.Do you know the source of the product please?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
The supplier states that they recieve the foods directly from the manufacturer. Im not aware who the manufacturer is. But the supplier sells the foods in many different weights and types all packaged in plain clear bags (food is dry food for ornamental fish).

Yes you can repackage it and sell it as your own. its no different from Tesco rebranding products and selling as their own. They dont make it, they just source the product. As long as you are satisfied as to the content etc then you can sell it. If there is any claim against you, then you simply counter claim against your supplier. So yes you can do this. Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?Alex
