on july 15th 2015 mywife was killed 7 my daughter was seriously injured by an elderly driver. the police have gathered all the evidence they require, & are looking to charge the driver with level 2 dbdd

is it normal for the cps to take so long
Yes, fairly. It is an either way offence so there is no real urgency about it and obviously there is a substantial amount of evidence to gather.Lengthy bail periods have been criticised and said to be contrary to the HRA but they involve people who have been on bail for up to two years with horrendous conditions. There is reason he cannot be charged at this stage. Can I clarify anything for you?Jo

should i inform my police flo of any stress that myself & my family are suffering throughout this time
You can but it won't make any difference I'm afraid.Unfortunately to be a priority to the modern police you have to be a professional victim and continually return to your 'abuser' when you could just leave. Genuine victims have to be play second fiddle I'm afraid.
