My friend has been caught stealing at work (warehouse) and selling those items at ebay. All together the amount of items he stole worth about 110 pounds. He admitted that he done the crime and after long investigations they made a decision to fire him and said to wait letter from Police.
My question what can happen now ? He will be arrested or he just get some sort of penalty ? I would like to know everything.
Thank you
Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.He can be arrested yes. If he has no previous convictions they may offer him a caution on condition he pays back the £110. Or they may charge him and take it to Court. But if no previous he may well get a caution. He should just wait - he can not do anything else. Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?Alex

even for 110 pounds he still may go to jail? he has no previous convictions
I didnt say he would go to jail. I said he could be charged and go to Court. Yes he could be charged and go to Court, but its more likely he would get a caution.Does that clarify?Alex
