Is it illegal or against any laws, if I move BACK into the martial home, after four years??, I have NOT paid any bills at the home as I have had to rent, we joint own the house, and my ex can't get me off the mortgage!!
Hi, thank you for your question. Just a bit more information required to fully assist you:-Are there any court orders in place excluding you from the home?-Were you married, and if so was there a financial settlement as part of a divorce?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No there are no court orders in place, we are not yet divorced but court date set for decree, but no financial settlement are in place
Thank you. If there are no court orders in place, or police restrictions, then you are free to return to the property. As the property is held in joint names you have a legal interest in the property as a right to occupy the property. If you have any further questions regarding this please let me know. In the meantime if you found this information helpful please provide a positive rating. I will not be credited for answering your question without a positive rating. Thank you
