Is someone lying about their identity, age and marital status

This answer was rated:

Is someone lying about their identity, age and marital status in a dating situation be illegal? In particular if the pretense was kept up during dating for over 2 months.
No. Giving false information to a potential lover is not an offence Im afraid.Sorry if that is bad news. It just plain not unlawful. Can I clarify anything for you?Jo
It matters not how long it continued. There is no offence that covers this if the only reason for it is to pursue a lover.

Is that true even if the person has represented himself with a completely different name (first and last name and age)?
