My cat was horribly killed in minutes in front of me by two

Customer Question

My cat was horribly killed in minutes in front of me by two greyhounds on a public footpath. The owner of the dogs made not attempt to control or stop his dogs from attacking my cat. He only did when he saw that I could see what was going on and was screaming. He had to repeatedly punch his dogs and they were in such a frenzy that they were biting each other. So much so, that one of the dogs had to be taken to the vets for emergency treatment. My cat lost all his blood, the bite wounds to his stomach area were so deep that you could see his spine. I could not get to him on time and also knew that if I tried to rescue him, I would be mauled by the dogs. The police have been informed and came to see me last night and also saw the dog owner. They advise that they are considering action. Can you advise costs should I bring civil action against the dog owner, as I feel that this man needs to have his dogs put down, and he needs to pay for what has happened. He should not own dogs. He clearly has NO control of his dogs and I fear that they will kill again, and if someone tried to protect their animal, they will be bitten.
